Welcome to Freeland Graphic Tilesets 3.0

This is release 3.0-beta2

Release was originally made for freeciv-2.3. Porting to newer freeciv versions
by cazfi.

1. Introduction

Freeland is an isometric Graphics Tileset for Freeciv game with high quality
graphic, using the more complex graphics system offered by Freeciv client with more
than thousand tile for base terrains (arctic, desert, grassland, plains, sea
and tundra).
This tileset is distributed in three different set of tiles (3 different tarball):
- freeland-normal (normal size 64x32)
- freeland-medium (medium size 96x48)
- freeland-big (big size 128x64)

2. Software requirements

Freeland 3.0 require a Freeciv 3.0 distribution.
- on Linux/Unix require the gtk client or the sdl client.
- on Windows ... (not tested)

3. Hardware requirements

I try it on a Core2 2.4GHz machine with 2GB of RAM and true color resolution.

4. Installation

- Download tarball from Freeciv download Extras page http://www.freeciv.org/index.php/Extras
  or from ftp://ftp.freeciv.org/freeciv/contrib/tilesets/freeland/.
- Unpack the tarball on your Freeciv 2.3.x "data" directory. The tileset is
  selectable as any other Freeciv tileset (freeciv-gtk3.22 -t set-name).
- Enjoy

5. License

Some graphics are adapted from GPL tilesets available for Freeciv (isotrident,amplio).
All other graphics/textures used in this work are created from scratch, or derived with
image manipulation from the great GPL photo collection of Susanna Gross, available
at http://strike.colorado.edu.
